LIfestyle of a Bi-Coastal CEO – Part 1 – The Essentials

Studio 41 Creative has recently become a bi-coastal company which translates into me becoming a CEO on the road, in planes, and in hotels for a good chunk of my time.  Over the past few months, I’ve discovered a few products that make my traveling life a little easier on the brain, the body, and the soul.

1. iPhone. My white iPhone 4 is a must-have. Part of my appeal to my clients is quick turnaround and prompt answering of emails, both of which are made possible via my iPhone. Plus, with all my traveling, I love documenting it all via Instagram. {Available at Apple.com}

2. London Fog Luggage. This is my carry-on luggage. I love this bag because it’s chic and fits in the luggage department on airplanes easily (you’d be surprised how many ‘carry-ons’ don’t fit). It also expands to fit any extra goodies I pick up while on a business trip. {TJMaxx.com}

3. iPad2. I must have my iPad2 at all times, fully charged, with internet.  It allows me to show my clients examples of my work, customize a marketing plan or proposal for them, and read the New York Times and Washington Post daily. It also allows me to read my newest book or watch movies my entire cross-country flight. {Apple.com}

4. Tory Burch Blouse in blue. This blouse is my “go get ‘em” top. It looks great with trousers or a skirt, hair up or now, with or without a jacket. {ToryBurch.com}

5. Coffee. Facing jet lag on a weekly basis effects my sleeping habits, which then directly effects my energy.  My morning coffee not only kicks my brain into high gear but it’s my morning ritual that gives my a sense of {home} while I’m away.

6. Kate Somerville skin care products. Airplanes, change of climate, late nights, and early mornings all affect my skin.  I don’t know about you, but I don’t want any sign of age on my face well before it’s due.  So I turn to my most trusted dermatologist friend, Kate Somerville.  I met Kate at an Emmy Award Gifting Suite and she gave me one of her most prize skin care lines.  Ever since then I’ve been hooked. {KateSomerville.com}

7. Laptop bag. Since I lug all of this technology around (including my MacBook Pro), I want to make sure I have a bag that can handle the wear and tear of regularly being stuffed in airplane luggage compartments, trunks of taxis, and the occasional spill of coffee. {Aldo.com}

8. Tory Burch flats. Lastly, I have to always have my flats.  These shoes are perfect because they’re casual/sturdy enough to walk miles in them (no hiking, though), but elegant enough for a last minute marketing meeting. {ToryBurch.com}
